Job Description

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time, in-person opportunity seeks a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide 1:1 support for a K-12 student during the 2025-2026 school year. The position is based in Dublin, OH, and is a contract role designed to support effective communication and accessibility within a school environment.

Responsibilities:

Deliver clear and accurate sign language interpretation for one student in a classroom setting.

Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, and peers to ensure full participation in educational activities.

Collaborate with educational staff to tailor interpretation services to meet the students individual needs.

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards of interpreting.

Assist in creating an inclusive learning atmosphere and ensure accessibility during all school-related activities.

Qualifications:

Proficient and experienced in American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation.

Previous experience working as a K-12 Sign Language Interpreter preferred.

Strong understanding of educational settings and student communication needs.

Ability to work full time, Monday through Friday, during regular school hours.

Commitment to in-person presence at the school site for the duration of the contract.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
