Sr. Project Manager

Job Description

Frischhertz Electric is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team in New Orleans. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for managing all phases of electrical construction projects—from pre-construction through close-out. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills and a proven track record managing large commercial or industrial electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of project execution, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and field coordination

Oversee bid processes, evaluate blueprints/specifications, and ensure timely material procurement

Monitor compliance with corporate policies and safety standards (OSHA), while maintaining accurate project documentation

Manage submittals, RFIs, purchase orders, pay applications, change orders, and project closeout documentation

Maintain and control project timelines and budgets, and report on progress to leadership

Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to achieve project milestones and objectives

Support staffing plans, allocate resources, and define methods and procedures for project delivery

Identify scope changes and prepare change proposals or claims; negotiate with clients or general contractors as needed

Cultivate relationships with clients, GCs, vendors, and field teams to support successful project execution and repeat business

Participate in on-call rotation and perform additional tasks as assigned by Director of Project Management

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

Minimum 10 years of electrical project management experience; large-scale project experience highly preferred

OSHA 30 certification a plus

Extensive knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials, and equipment

Proficiency in reviewing plans, specifications, and producing take-offs and change order estimates

Familiarity with NFPA codes and strong problem-solving abilities

Tech-savvy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); experience with Accubid a plus

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and client-facing skills
