Schedule: Full-time
BWC’s core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across BWC departments. Most positions perform work on-site at one of BWC’s seven offices across the state. BWC offers flex-time work schedules that allow an employee to start the day as early as 7:00am or as late as 8:30am. Flex-time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Under direction of the Business Transformation Supervisor, you will require a thorough knowledge of business process analysis & systems development lifecycles (e.g., Rates & Payments, CoreSuite) in BWC's Finance & Policy divisions. You will also receive general direction to lead analysts & analyze business operations to determine areas to implement solutions through the use of information technology & reduce overall costs &/or provide efficiencies.
Communicating & collaborating with Senior leadership within the Finance & Policy division to ensure that business needs are being met.
May oversee & serve as an ambassador for potential business process improvements to all BWC division Chiefs &/or Department Directors.
Using business process modeling &/or vendor solution evaluations (i.e., process mapping in Microsoft Visio) to analyze potential for streamlining or reengineering business processes via implementation of information technology solutions as related to the Finance & Insured divisions (e.g. Specification Documentation, Supplementary Specifications, including database design).
Identifying risks & recommending changes related to processes, projects & procedures (e.g. Implementation tasks, process flow).
Making recommendations for gains in efficiency or costs thru implementation of information technology solutions (e.g. Electronic Notification, CoreSuite annual processes & Finance/Policy specific business processes).
Assisting in the development project plans with Project Management Office to or recommends approach through defining tasks, leading meetings & other tasks to gather & coordinate activities for requirements gathering.
Overseeing the gathering & analyzing information from stakeholders, business owners, customers & management.
Acting as liaison between various stakeholders, managing stakeholder expectations & ensuring successful communications between project team members.
Overseeing business test plans by analyzing the product & specification requirements to confirm quality standards have been met (e.g. unit testing, system testing & production verification to ensure finished products match requirements).
Reviewing issues revealed during testing to determine impact & determine plan of action.
Providing signoff for training materials along with assisting in delivery of training either directly or support.
To Qualify, You Must Clearly Demonstrate
Required Experience and/or Education:
60 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: leading analysts and analyzing business operations to determine areas to implement solutions through the use of information technology and reducing overall costs and/or providing efficiencies.
Or completion of associate core program in computer science, information systems, or business administration AND 42 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: leading analysts and analyzing business operations to determine areas to implement solutions through the use of information technology and reducing overall costs and/or providing efficiencies.
Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science, information systems, or business administration AND 36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: leading analysts and analyzing business operations to determine areas to implement solutions through the use of information technology and reducing overall costs and/or providing efficiencies.
Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
