Sahale Snacks in Seattle, WA is looking for Maintenance Technician! The ideal candidates are self-starters and adaptable to new scenarios. Techs are responsible for trouble shooting, repair, and maintenance of production equipment in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring quality standards and schedule adherence are maintained. Maintenance Technicians work in a variety of areas such as packaging, roasting and sanitation, while standing/walking for long periods of time. This position also requires the ability to lift up to 100 pounds (with assistance), complete plant work orders and routine preventative maintenance documentation (Oracle eAM CMMS), and take initiative to ensure work is done correctly.

*This position will be scheduled to work 4 days per week, 10 hour shifts, Mon - Thurs, from 8:00pm - 6:30am.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Supports production by repairing operational/equipment issues as they occur.

Train personnel on repairs they have the ability to perform themselves if the issue occurs again.

Complete corrective work orders and items listed on defect list.

Complete preventive maintenance (PM) work orders.

Keep maintenance spaces (shop) and parts/equipment clean and organized.

Maintain store room inventory (INV).

Complete work orders and Preventive Maintenance (PM) documentation (Oracle, eAM, CMMS).

Maintain equipment bill of material (BOM) as assigned.

Performs housekeeping and cleaning duties, according to Company SSOP’s.

Performs all tasks in a safe manner, adhering to Company work rules.

Follow Company’s Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs) at all times.

Meets Company’s expectations of its’ Basic Beliefs.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Highschool Diploma or Equivalence

Previous automated manufacturing or distribution environment experience.

General industrial maintenance experience in mechanical and electrical.

Strong Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and machine operation.

Working knowledge of PLC Logic and use in manufacturing equipment.

Proficiency in safety procedures, troubleshooting, and problem solving.

Ability to work in accordance with quality, safety, and sanitation standards, policies, and guidelines.

Ability to work safely around food allergens such as tree nuts, peanuts, soy, and sesame.

Ability to work with and around cleaning chemicals and perform sanitation duties.

Ability to work safely around/with automated and semi-automated machinery.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, good manufacturing processes (GMP's) and general instructions.

Effective communication skills (written and oral).

Must be a self-starter, able to handle a busy work load, and be productive working alone.

Ability to work as part of a team, successfully communicating and cooperating with others.

Reliable and dependable, including good attendance patterns and ability to comply with attendance policy.

Basic computer skills and aptitude to work with computers.

Basic math skills.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, routinely.

Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance, occasionally.

Able and willing to work at heights up to 50’.

Journeyman Millwright license or trade certificate; preferred but not required.

Prior experience working in a food manufacturing facility; preferred but not required.

HACCP certification and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) familiarity; preferred but not required.

Welding and metal fabrication knowledge and ability strongly preferred (MIG, TIG, plasma cutting, lathe work); preferred but not required.

4 days per week, 10 hour shifts, Mon - Thurs, from 8:00pm - 6:30am.
