Job title: Senior Buyer – Infrastructure

You’re expected to have completed 12 months in role prior to applying for an advertised vacancy and you should also discuss the internal opportunity with your line manager to ensure sustained business continuity and to further support your career development.

What you’ll be doing:

Liaise with key stakeholders to determine their product and service needs

Support development and deployment of the sourcing and contracting process for Indirect Procurement

Support the development and deployment of Category Management strategy templates and resources to ensure category strategies are documented and deployed in a consistent manner

Support the management the Procurement Pipeline Reviews and forward visibility of the Procurement Pipeline and ensure compliancy with the process

Support a review of standardisation of key procurement processes aligned to best practice

Support the development and deployment of a Sustainability plan across Indirect Procurement that aligns to the Supply Chain Sustainability strategy

Engage with the wider business to ensure the processes meets the needs of the business

Your skills and experiences:

Track record of developing, implementing & managing procurement strategies

Experience managing contract negotiations

Experience managing supplier relationships

Experience relating to Plant & Equipment and/or Construction projects

Accreditation by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS)
