Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 20 hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only (38 working weeks per year)

Salary: £9,690 per annum

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Food Service Assistant to join our team at Cwmbran High School. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive working environment, delivering great service to students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve food and beverages

Assist with food preparation, cooking, and sandwich/cold food making

Perform front-of-house duties such as table clearing, table service, and customer interaction

Operate tills and handle payments

Restock items and ensure effective stock rotation

Maintain cleanliness in both front and back of house, including sweeping, mopping, and general housekeeping duties

Skills and Experience

No prior kitchen experience required – full training will be provided

A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Good communication and teamwork skills

Important Information

Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years. The successful candidate must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
