Do you have an eye for detail and a talent for turning data into clear, actionable reports? America’s Auto Auction is looking for a Condition Report Writer who can transform physical inspection results and vehicle condition data into accurate, professional reports for clients and partners. This position ensures the accurate documentation of our customer’s vehicle condition by inspecting their vehicles at our site upon arrival. This role involves assessing the vehicle’s overall interior and exterior body condition, and documenting all findings within our software application.

What You Will Do:
• Identify and update vehicle information, including Year, Make, Model, Trim Lines, and Odometer
• Inspect vehicle equipment, options, interior, tires, mechanical components
• Identify exterior and interior vehicle damages, assess structural damages, alignment of vehicle body panels, take paint meter readings, and estimate damages by using provided guidelines
• Take photographs as needed to support and complete report findings
• Ensure reports meet internal quality control standards and client requirements
• Work with field staff and inspection teams to clarify findings when needed
• Submit timely, polished reports that support vehicle sales, leasing, or valuation processes
• Ability to complete 20 to 30 condition reports daily (count will be dependent on vehicle type)
• Performs other duties as necessary
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Previous experience writing condition reports preferred (automotive industry preferred) and/or 1 year of experience in the automobile field with knowledge of body, paint, and mechanical repair
• Strong grammar, writing, and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret data, photos, and inspection checklists.
• Comfortable working with reporting software and digital platforms.
• Fast, accurate, and committed to quality.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, for duration of employment.
• Those working in this position are subject to temperature changes, all types of weather conditions and a fast-paced environment.
• Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check and drug screen.
