Forklift Operator - Receiving

Job Description

Essential job functions:

· Must be able to work standing and moving for 8 hr. shift.

· Must be able to climb, bend and lift.

· Must have a basic (user) understanding of computers.

· Comply with all established procedures (GMP, Safety and SOP requirements).

Follow the training, instruction, and procedures provided by the Area Manager or Supervisor

· Meet established standards for quantity or volume of work required.

· Pay attention to the work being performed and perform all work in a safe manner.

· Keep the immediate work area clean and neat.

· Handle products, components and/or materials carefully and in a manner that does not cause contamination or damage.

· Ensure that any documentation is properly filled out in a timely manner and sent to the proper destination.

Practice good personal hygiene, avoid objectionable personal habits, wear hairnets as designated, and use Personal Protective Equipment if required for the job.

Be considerate of co-workers.

· Operate a forklift and motorized pallet jack daily.

Computer Knowledge Required

· When using any type of equipment or machine, operate the machine as instructed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Every Production employee is responsible for his or her own quality.

· Inform Quality or Management about any questionable material, condition, or performance that is discovered.

· Follow established procedures, methods, and/or guidelines to produce quality products.
