SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
This Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant administers and executes Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable transactions through timely and accurate processing, matching, coding and updating into relevant systems in accordance with company policy and procedures in order to provide regular, up-to-date, and accurate information on status or deviations.
This position will be reporting to the Accounting Manager and will be based in Sto. Tomas, Batangas
Responsibilities:
Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded and effective internal control are in place
Carry out suppliers and bank reconciliations by analysing suppliers and bank statements in order to reconcile differences between suppliers and bank statements and our books of accounts.
Handle all supplier payments for local and overseas vendors by preparing, checking, verifying, posting, and signing all payment vouchers to ensure compliance to payment agreed terms.
Assist and comply with all tax regulations as per local requirements if required.
Liaise and coordinate with both internal and external parties like banks and auditors to meet audit requirements and adhere to local rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree of any business course preferably Accountancy.
Proven track record of at least 2 years in an accounting role (accounts payable in particular)
Must have sufficient knowledge in basic accountancy and accounting principles.
