Job description

Position Summary

Stratum Medical is hiring a Senior Data Solutions Architect into the newly formed Data Services Organization (DSO); a strategic initiative to centralize data and analytics across our multi-specialty MSO.

We’re looking for a versatile, hands-on expert with a rare combination of skills: someone who can build data pipelines, develop scalable analytics products, understand healthcare nuances, and serve as a thought partner to the CDO. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, wears multiple hats, and wants to build the foundation of a modern healthcare data platform from the ground up.

You’ll work side-by-side with the CDO on everything from cloud architecture to BI dashboards to advanced analytics; with immediate, measurable impact across care quality, financial performance, and population health.

Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Engineering

Build and optimize Redshift-based pipelines integrating EHR, PM, claims, and value-based care data

Maintain robust data models, primary keys, lineage, and documentation using dbt and Git-based workflows

Design reusable, performant views for downstream analytics and self-service tools

Analytics & Decision Support

Develop clinical, financial, and operational metrics for use in dashboards and executive reporting

Collaborate with front-line stakeholders to translate complex questions into scalable data products

Build prototypes of dashboards and exploratory tools in BI platforms like Sigma or Looker

Product & Strategy Enablement

Help define data product roadmaps aligned with DSO’s goals

Contribute to scalable frameworks for patient attribution, benchmarking, HCC scoring, and more

Operate as a cross-functional expert, blending technical execution with deep healthcare domain knowledge

Team Growth & Leadership

Serve as a technical mentor as the DSO team scales

Contribute to standards around testing, documentation, code review, and agile delivery

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related field required

Master’s Degree preferred

8+ years of experience in healthcare data, analytics engineering, or data science

Proven ability to build end-to-end data solutions in modern cloud environments (AWS preferred)

Advanced SQL skills with expertise in data modeling, performance tuning, and ETL orchestration

Strong fluency in healthcare domains: EHR, PM, payer/claims, and value-based care models

Experience using dbt, Redshift, Git, and BI tools such as Sigma, Looker, or Tableau

Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in high-ambiguity settings

Core Competencies

Strong technical fluency across data modeling, pipeline development, and analytics delivery

Deep domain expertise in healthcare data, including EHR, claims, and value-based care models

High level of ownership and execution in ambiguous, fast-paced environments

Clear communicator and collaborative problem-solver across technical and non-technical teams

Product-oriented mindset with a focus on building scalable, intuitive data solutions.
