Nurse Practitioner - Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Our well-established Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practice is seeking a highly motivated Surgical Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our collaborative care team. The Surgical APRN will work closely with oral surgeons and manage patients throughout the surgical continuum—from pre-operative assessment to intraoperative assistance and post-operative care. Clinical training will be provided upon hire, and new graduates are encouraged to apply. An active APRN license is required at the time of hire.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm or same hours as the doctors schedule they assist
Responsibilities
Reviewing medical histories with patients and patient’s primary care physician or
specialists
Assessing the pre-operative patient
Starting IV lines
Accurate documentation of patient medical records
Assisting doctor in surgery, as needed
Caring for patient recovery and discharge duties
Phone triage
Scheduling OR surgeries at local hospital or surgery center, as needed
Ordering clinical supplies and pharmaceuticals
Maintaining emergency cart and equipment
Qualifications
Requirements
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution
Active and unrestricted APRN license in the state of practice (required upon hire)
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Prior experience in oral surgery, head and neck surgery, or another surgical specialty
Familiarity with sedation protocols and post-anesthesia care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to continuous education and staying current on clinical practices.

The salary range for this role is $93K - $100K /annually based on full-time employment.
