The New Product Introduction Operations Program Manager (NPI OPM) plays a key role in launching Apple’s new products on time with superior quality and maximum customer availability. This particular role focuses on ensuring packout readiness for all new and sustaining programs. You will lead within Worldwide Operations to plan and implement packaging design updates, collaborating closely with Engineering, Marketing, Readiness, and factory teams. A successful Packout NPI OPM is an organized, detail-oriented leader; demonstrates advanced proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software; excels in program / project management; communicates with ease at all levels; thrives in an ambiguous environment and is adept at facilitating actions and resolving conflicts. Lead Apple & Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) operations team in planning and executing all aspects of our packaging design updates, including development builds, line readiness, and new product ramp readiness. Program manage key issues (e.g. laser etching, inbox documentation, labeling, etc.), assess associated risks, and communicate clearly across all levels of organization, report current status and options for resolution to cross-functional teams and management. Communicates requirements and schedules to facilitate technical readiness with cross-functional teams. Influences packaging design changes and supply chain process improvements in pursuit of low cost and flexibility while stewarding quality Creates and maintains Build of Material (BOM) structures using Agile PLM software Develops and implements plans for First Article Inspection (FAI) of packaging design changes prior to new product launch

3+ years of experience in manufacturing, project management, process engineering or product development and product launch

Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Supply Chain/Operations, Science or Engineering.

Ability to travel internationally up to 15%

Knowledge of configuration management and BOM structuring (preferably for hardware products)

Results oriented with a bias for action and a strong attention to detail

Ability to adapt and react to resets and changes in a time sensitive environment

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate across all levels (written and verbal)

Technical expertise and prior OEM management experience are considered a plus.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $157,200 and $236,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
