Job Description

We are seeking an energetic, self motivated, and positive attitude person for an Electrical Controls and Automation Engineer/Engineering Technician with Growth Opportunity to join our team. As an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated systems and equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for automation technology.

Responsibilities:

Create bills of material and routings for use in cost estimates and manufacturing.

Create owner’s manuals, test procedures, and other engineering deliverables as required.

Provide technical support to shop personnel during manufacturing.

Provide field support of Company products as required.

Conduct testing and evaluation of both new products and production products as needed.

At times help wire, assemble, and build controls and other electrical equipment as needed.

Troubleshoot and resolve problems with automation systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software components.

Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to design and implement automation solutions.

Perform system upgrades and modifications as needed.

Document all maintenance activities and keep accurate records of repairs and replacements.

Conduct tests to ensure the proper functioning of automated systems.

Provide training and support to operators on the use of automation equipment.

Requirements:

- Mechanical knowledge and understanding of automation technology

- Familiarity in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for system design

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

- Problem-solving skills

- Basic electrical knowledge, including the ability to fabricate electrical components

- Understanding of electrical engineering principles is a plus
