We are currently working with a rapidly growing, community-rooted company to find a Financial Leader to join their team full-time at their central Wisconsin location. This new leadership position has been created due to company growth and the need to evolve from a traditional bookkeeper model into a more strategic finance function. The role will oversee all financial operations-including bookkeeping, budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting-while managing human resources tasks such as hiring, employee relations, and compliance. You'll report directly to the company president and be an integral part of a collaborative leadership team alongside the CEO, operations managers, sales director, and CTO.
This is a hands-on role today, but as the company scales, there's a clear opportunity to grow a team under your leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
Own all daily bookkeeping and financial processes (QuickBooks Online)
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
Provide timely, strategic financial reports and insights to leadership
Manage payroll and benefit programs across 35+ full-time and 30 part time employees
Oversee employee relations, HR compliance, and basic internal policies as they arise
Collaborate with company leaders on financial controls and business planning
Contribute to leadership team strategy discussions and team development
Help build scalable infrastructure for finance and HR as the company growsWhat experience and skills do I need to be successful?
Prior experience in a financial leadership role (Controller or similar)
Expertise with QuickBooks Online and general tech-savviness for managing financials
Strong intuition around financial health, cost controls, and budgeting
HR experience is preferred, but not required, if you're confident learning on the job
Self-motivated and ready to lead without constant direction
Familiarity with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) is a bonus
Commitment to growing with a local business and building long-term impactWhat will my schedule look like?
This is a full-time, onsite position working Monday through Friday, typically 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Rare weekend work may occur related to events and cash handling, but this will decrease as the company transitions to cashless operations.Where is it?
