Job Description
Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time position is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter with expertise in American Sign Language instruction. This onsite role supports multiple school settings, providing critical munication services to students across various grade levels.

Opportunities:
Position 1: Serve K-12 students across three schools, delivering interpretation and ASL teaching services
Position 2: Focus on K-4 students in a single school environment
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate effective munication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their classmates, teachers, and staff through expert sign language interpretation
Deliver American Sign Language instruction tailored to the developmental levels of students, fostering language acquisition and cultural awareness
Collaborate with educators and support staff to create an inclusive educational environment
Assist in the development of individualized munication plans to meet students unique needs
Maintain professional standards and stay current with best practices in sign language interpretation and teaching
Desired Qualifications:
Proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter, confirmed by relevant certification or experience
Experience teaching American Sign Language, preferably in K-12 educational settings
Ability to manage diverse student needs and adapt instructional methods accordingly
Strong munication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate within educational teams
