Conflicts Analyst
Foulston is looking for a team-oriented individual to support our Firm as a Conflicts Analyst. This critical, Wichita-based position will support all of our locations by researching professional conflict of interest and other business risks that we face regarding new legal matters. This position requires a high level of collaboration along with the ability to exercise discretion with confidential information. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker, a team player, detail oriented, and has a strong desire for excellence.
Responsibilities include:
Gaining an understanding and proficiency of Foulston’s due diligence policies and guidelines
Conducting factual research using internal and external resources, which may include researching corporate relationships (using LexisNexis, D&B, web publications and similar public databases) and discussions with attorneys and/or legal support staff to gather information and/or clarification regarding a party or matter
Preparing reports from analyzed data to be distributed to appropriate parties
Maintaining the integrity and completeness of Firm databases
Communicating with Attorneys and Staff regarding conflict-of-interest procedures and results
Facilitating potential new client intake by gathering relevant information and communicating the next steps
Providing excellent customer service by communicating professionally and effectively with all parties
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications include:
Ability to compile, review, filter, synthesize, and interpret information which is varied in content and format
Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and make decisions when appropriate
Strong research skills using internal and external resources
Capacity to increase knowledge of legal terminology and complex relationships
Ability to correctly prioritize tasks and meet quick deadlines
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to produce high quality and accurate work product with minimal supervision
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work with attorneys and staff at all levels
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Basic typing skills (at least 40 wpm)
Law firm experience desired but not required
