Field Service Technician

UTEC is looking for a skilled Service Technician to join our team.
The Service Technician will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing various types of equipment.
Service Technician responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, maintaining records of service, scheduling regular maintenance, and providing excellent customer service.
Our ideal candidate is a problem-solver who has in-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and basic electrical principles.
Ultimately, the role of the Service Technician is to ensure that all equipment is running smoothly and to respond quickly to any malfunctions.
In the realm of IT, a service technician might be in charge of troubleshooting and repairing hardware and software issues, performing system updates, and helping employees or customers understand how to use certain technologies.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Service Technician
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and basic electrical principles
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergencies
Good physical condition and strength
Valid driver’s license
Knowledge with computers and network technology or relevant field is preferred
Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
Customer service skills for providing a positive experience, understanding the needs of the client, and ensuring customer satisfaction
Additional Information
Job Title: Service Technician
Work Environment: This is a field role with frequent travel to various locations for service appointments. Some in-office work may be required for meetings and training.
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Service Manager.
Salary: Salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Pay Range: $35,000 minimum to $55,000 maximum
Employment Type: Full-time
