Job Title: Cloud Engineering Technical Director
Introduction:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our IT infrastructure and cloud services team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions to support enterprise applications and business operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud environments, leveraging your deep knowledge of Oracle products and cloud architecture best practices. This is an excellent opportunity for a cloud professional to contribute to digital transformation initiatives within the IC customer space.
Required Skills:
Proven experience with IaaS services including compute, storage, networking, FaaS, identity, and access management
Strong understanding of cloud architecture and best practices for deploying scalable and secure cloud environments
Experience with Oracle databases (on-premise and cloud), including provisioning, configuration, backup, and recovery
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC)
Familiarity with Terraform or other IaC tools for managing OCI resources
Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud security principles
Ability to monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in OCI environments
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
Desired Skills:
OCI certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate/Professional)
Experience migrating on-premise applications and databases to Oracle Cloud
Familiarity with Oracle Cloud ERP, HCM, or other Oracle SaaS applications
Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) in OCI environments
Experience integrating OCI with third-party services or hybrid cloud architectures
Experience with other public cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for multi-cloud strategy
Understanding of Oracle Autonomous Database and Exadata Cloud Services
Exposure to monitoring tools like Oracle Cloud Monitoring, Grafana, or Prometheus
Agile or Scrum project experience
Required Credentials and Experience:
Must possess a TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, computer science, Business, or related discipline and 14+ years of relevant experience

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $120,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
