Eden Brothers, a leading online retailer of seeds and flower bulbs in the US known for our huge selection, is growing! We're looking for a Production Manager to join our Operations team. This key role, reporting to the Vice President of Operations, will be the site leader for our new Fletcher, NC facility and involve making sure our daily production operations run smoothly, leading a team of up to 20 associates, in accordance with company standards and policies.

Position Summary:

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production and in supporting local inventory control functions. This role ensures that production processes are efficient, the staff is well-managed and efficient, and that all areas operate in alignment with company goals for quality, safety, and timeliness. The manager plays a key leadership role in coordinating between departments, and driving operational improvements.Requirements:

Production Operations

Plan, organize, and supervise all production activities to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to meet production schedules and deadlines.

Lead, train, and manage production staff, including team leads and production employees.

Monitor production metrics such as output, efficiency, downtime, and quality.

Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and internal policies.

Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Fulfillment, Scheduling, Maintenance) to ensure efficient workflows.

Inventory Control

Provide support for building inventory operations including receiving, storing, transferring, and tracking materials.

Maintain accurate bulk seed inventory records and resolve discrepancies through cycle counts and physical audits.

Work closely with staff from Inventory department and communicate appropriately

Operate inventory management software (e.g., ERP, WMS) to track movement and generate reporting.

Cross-functional Leadership

Implement process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives across production and inventory.

Prepare reports for senior leadership on key performance indicators and operational health.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and production area.

Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for staff under your supervision.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in production, inventory, or warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.

Strong understanding of production workflows, inventory systems, and warehouse procedures.

Proficient in ERP and WMS platforms; strong Excel/data analysis skills.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.

Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, walk, and move on the production floor for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
