PreK/Preschool Teacher Assistant

Mary Our Queen School is seeking a qualified individual to support our growing early childhood education program.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Work cooperatively with the lead teacher to implement lessons and activities * Effectively observes assigned work hours - maintaining a pattern of prompt and regular attendance * Guide and direct work of students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning * Assist teacher in implementing classroom procedures and routines * Ensure students follow school and class rules * Effectively able to supervise and support students in the classroom, collaboration area, lunchroom, and during recess * Assist teacher in preparing necessary materials for lessons * Maintains a cooperative working relationship with Principal, lead classroom teacher, staff, and public * Demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality * Performs other duties as assigned by Principal or lead teacher * Communicates clearly and positively with students and all stakeholders.

Education and Experience * High school degree or equivalent; Associate degree in education or a related field preferred.

* Experience as a paraprofessional, teaching assistant, or similar position preferred.

* Experience working with preschool or elementary-aged students.

* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
