Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Building Design Engineer II to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering competitive pay and benefits in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversight on the creation of construction documents as well as document sets.

Guidance of development on various projects.

Implementation and adherence of firm contract documentation procedures/ standards.

Recommendation of design and development alterations under the oversight of the project engineer.

Writing of technical specifications on various projects and the evaluation of convention system designs under the oversight of the project engineer.

Must perform as the in-house project representative under the oversight of the project engineer.

Must perform the research of standards as well as applicable codes relating to the design of building systems.

Writing of project documentation.

Assistance in the processing of submittals shop drawings under the oversight of the Project Engineer or the Project Architect during construction.

The evaluation of system submittals and equipment to determine whether they need contract specifications.

Must prepare submittals for Contractors.

Minimum Qualifications:

An associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree of engineering.

2 years as a building design engineer or related experience.

Must be proficient in Revit and possess at least 2 years of experience with it.

Must be proficient in other presentation and design software.

Must possess expertise in 3D modeling programs.
