JOB SUMMARY

The Incoming QC Inspector is responsible for conducting receiving inspection and testing verification of the quality of purchased components based on a set of acceptance criteria and specifications.

This role is also responsible for reviewing and signing off on daily production documentation to ensure finished product release requirements are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY:

Performs AQL inspection.

Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors.

Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.

Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.

Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications.

Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.

Maintain a standards cabinet containing approved standards of different types of components.

Other duties as assigned

Review production paperwork to assure all finished product release requirements were met and signing off to allow for product to be released for shipping.

Use a variety of tools to test incoming component quality to include analytical equipment such as FTIR to verify material identity (utilizing the compiled library). Qualifications

MUST BE ABLE TO READ, WRITE, AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH- SPECIFICATIONS AND DOCUUMENTATION ARE IN ENGLISH

Degree in Chemistry or equivalent qualification achieved via work experience.

Certification in quality control is preferred.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Excellent knowledge of MS Office.

Good math and technical skills. Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.

Language Skills: Ability to train, read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and laboratory equipment. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems
