Field Manager H15C
Annual Salary: $74,960.21 + Full State Employee Benefits
Travel is EXTENSIVE. Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
This position is in-office Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of a bachelor's degree in social work, behavioral science, guidance and counseling, or public administration and 6 years of professional social work or social science administration, including 3 years of qualifying experience in assigned program as a supervisor, a senior programs administrator, or in program management.
OR
Completion of a Master's degree in social work, behavioral science, guidance and counseling, or public administration and 5 years of professional social work or social science administration, including 3 years of qualifying experience in assigned program as a supervisor, a senior programs administrator, or in program management. OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one (1) additional year of qualifying work experience for each year of required education.
*Note: Professional experience in the fields listed must have been the primary job responsibility to be considered as qualifying. Incidental performance of professional work in any area(s) shall not be considered.
Job Responsibilities
• Under the direction of the Deputy Director, the position directs and manages all aspects of Adult and Family Services programs (SNAP, LTC, ABD) and activities.
• Directs and supervises Family Services Specialists IVs and other staff to ensure workforce quality, competence, service delivery, and compliance by law, policy, and procedure.
• Shall demonstrate skills and abilities in leadership, team building, effective communications, community outreach, customer service, and problem solving.
• Ability to work on a diverse team and directly with people from diverse backgrounds specifically racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and disabilities.
• Serves as the Affirmative Action Officer and Coordinator for Americans with Disabilities Act and Family Medical Leave Act for the assigned office.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required at this level include knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations on administration of welfare services; of social services offered in the assigned counties, regardless of providers; of office management practices; of principles of supervision; of
social work caseload management; of the methods and techniques of counseling with clients; and of basic principles of community organization and supervision. Ability is required to plan and direct programs of varied natures; to interpret and implement policies and regulations; to supervise the work of professional and clerical employees; to mobilize community support and generate community awareness of programs offered in the county; and to provide direct client counseling.
