Position Summary:
Pioneer Technical Services, Inc. is accepting applications for and engineering intern to work in our Butte, MT Materials Testing Laboratory. This position will consist of assisting with field inspections and geotechnical/materials testing in our laboratory. Field inspection services include compaction testing, fresh grout and concrete testing. Laboratory testing will include performing Atterbergs, proctors, sieve analysis and numerous other geotechnical soils testing. Other duties will include data management, equipment maintenance, and sample organization.
This position will require travel to and from project sites as well as having the potential for weekend work. Candidate will have the use of a company vehicle after arriving at the office building and must have a valid driver's license. Pioneer will provide on the job training to perform field and laboratory testing.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Candidate must be currently enrolled in a college curriculum and preferred degree area in Environmental/Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technician (CET) or related field.
