Java Dev (AWS, Rest/SOAP, NoSQL) III (Contractor)

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Full stack Java Developer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality enterprise applications using Java technologies and frameworks, while collaborating with clients to deliver innovative solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and contribute to impactful projects. Focus for this role will be approximately 60/40 Front End to Back End development.

Responsibilities:

- Develop automation on UI and backend components

- Work closely with dev/qa & product team to understand requirement

- Create, execute and maintain test cases and test plan

- On call /production support

- Run manual and automated functional programming workflows on various builds

- Support backend web services that play crucial role in the organization's ecosystem

- Dev / automation for client facing tool. The tool is used by Editors to manage menu experience on legacy video products

- Validation support ops for product release

- Defect metrics reports generation • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development, with a focus on enterprise applications.

• Proficiency in object-oriented design and development techniques.

• Hands-on experience with Java frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, and Apache.

• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.

• Solid understanding of REST and SOAP API integration.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively both independently and in a team.

• Passion for DevOps principles and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
