Instrument & Controls Engineer - OFFSHORE PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Galleria area of Houston, TX

Contract position 6+ months and renew contract at that time or go direct.

Skills & Experience:

7+ years of experience in instrument and control systems engineering in the oil and gas industry.

Experience with upstream offshore oil and gas industry a plus.

Experience with subsea wells, infrastructure, and associated controls a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering – preference to electrical.

Experience providing engineering support to operating assets.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience with specifying field instrumentation

Experience with working on Honeywell DCS and Safety Systems, Experion PKS, Advanced Applications, Unisim preferred

Experience with working on interfacing protocols such as OPC, MODBUS TCP/IP, MQTT, CIP

Understanding of process control network (PCN), firewalls, and virtualization

If needed there is a possibility of making offshore trips to the platform in the Gulf.Company Description
