Position Summary:
We are seeking several skilled QAQC Engineers / Commissioning Engineers to support the delivery of a state-of-the-art data center project in Dallas, TX. These roles are responsible for either mechanical or electrical systems quality assurance, quality control, and commissioning, ensuring all systems meet design specifications, operational functionality, and client standards. This an opportunity to work for a leading, growing general contractor that have doubled in size over the last 4 years!
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance / Quality Control
Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific QA/QC plans, procedures, and checklists.
Perform inspections and quality audits on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installations.
Review submittals, shop drawings, and equipment certifications for compliance with project specifications.
Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure adherence to quality standards and resolve non-conformance issues.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
Participate in project meetings to provide QA/QC input and reporting.
Commissioning
Assist in planning, execution, and documentation of commissioning activities for MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical power, fire protection, and building automation systems.
Collaborate with Commissioning Agents, design engineers, and subcontractors to ensure successful system start-up, functional testing, and turnover.
Track commissioning progress, witness test procedures, and validate test reports and system readiness.
Ensure all documentation, such as O&M manuals, test scripts, and turnover packages, is accurate and complete.
Support integrated systems testing and final commissioning efforts leading to project close-out.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or background as an electrician/mechanic preferred.
2+ years of experience in construction QA/QC and commissioning, preferably in mission-critical/data center projects or another high tech industry.
Strong understanding of MEP systems and building infrastructure.
Familiarity with commissioning processes, standards (ASHRAE, NEBB, ACG), and documentation requirements.
Proficient in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
OSHA 30, LEED, or CxA certification is a plus.
