Veterinary Technician for Private Practice in Berks County, PA

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and be skilled in various aspects of veterinary medicine. This role involves assisting veterinarians in providing high-quality medical and surgical care to our patients, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both animals and their owners.

Duties include:

Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, anesthesia and surgeries.

Handle and properly restrain dogs, cats and pocket pets safely.

Give injections and medications by various routes.

Perform blood draws, place IV catheters, dental cleanings and other basic medical procedures under supervision.

Prepare laboratory samples for testing and assist with laboratory and radiology procedures.

Educate pet owners on proper care techniques and home-care instructions.

Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and processing patient records.
