9-80 work week with every other Friday off! About Our Client

Our client is an aerospace manufacturer located in the South-Western suburbs. They seek a Quality Engineer to oversee their lab at their facility. Their clients include well known OEMs, such as Boeing, Raytheon, and Northrop Grumman. They leverage their quality department as the forefront of their business and pride themselves on their employee centric culture with every other Friday off, no weekends and shortened work days.

Job Description

Involved in developing quality control policies and evaluates production limitations

Ability to work cross functionally to resolve quality issues

Work directly with OEM manufacturers to discuss product quality

Maintain and continuously the develop the companies QMS

Assist with creating and maintaining quality documentation

Support first article inspection, approve materials, final product assemblies by confirming specifications, conduct visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials

Ability to troubleshoot CMM programming

Understanding of root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action

Read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications to establish correct inspection criteria

The Successful Applicant

5+ years experience in quality within manufacturing

Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Knowledgeable of Gage R&R and other calibration methods

Understanding of AS9100 or IATF 16949

Able to read and interpret customer GD&T blueprints

Experience within aerospace preferred What's on Offer

Competitive base salary between $100,000-$120,000, depending on experience and skills
