Key Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic
production equipment
• Install, align, and service industrial machinery, including motors, pumps,
conveyors, and valves
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Perform fabrication and machining tasks as needed (lathes, milling
machines, welding – ARC, TIG, MIG)
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance work orders
• Maintain facility/building systems as part of general site maintenance
• Support production operations during runtime to reduce downtime
• Adhere to food safety, OH&S, and LOTO procedures
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and cross-functional
meetings
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
• Valid Millwright trade certification (Red Seal preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing
environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude across hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating
equipment
• Hands-on experience with machining and welding equipment
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems
• Flexibility for rotating shifts, nights, and weekends
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Assets:
• Food manufacturing experience
• Electrical knowledge or dual ticket
• Basic MS Office (Excel, Outlook)
Current Schedule (until July):
• Continental 10-hour shifts
• 4 days on / 3 days off
• Rotating between day and night shifts
• Flexibility is mandatory—weekend and overnight work is part of the
schedule
Updated Schedule Starting in July:
• Transitioning to 12-hour shifts on a 4-3-3-4 rotation
• Week 1: 4 days on / 3 days off
• Week 2: 3 days on / 4 days off
• Shifts will rotate between days and nights, likely on a 4-week rotation
cycle
Compensation:
• Base wage: $47.70/hour (for ticketed Millwrights)
• Night shift premium: +$ 2.00/hour
