Laboratory Assistant

One of our clients is hiring for Laboratory Technician (Chemicals) in St.

James, Louisiana.

This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of becoming permanent and offers $22.54/hour.

Shift Schedule—12-Hour Shifts - Dupont Schedule, Rotating Days and Nights Job description The Analytical Lab Technician is responsible for the preparation, analysis, and data recording of samples while adhering to correct procedures and health and safety.

They are also responsible for preparing reports and maintaining database records.

Collect, identify, and prepare various samples for analyses, including phosphate rock, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, gypsum, environmental water, and granulated fertilizer.

Set up, maintain, and operate various types of laboratory equipment and instruments.

Perform analyses using hazardous chemicals and prescribed procedures to determine the quality of product samples.

Perform calculations, review data for accuracy, prepare reports, maintain database records, and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
