Automation Controls Project Manager

Accentuate Staffing is assisting a leading commercial construction company in the Raleigh who is hiring for an Automation Controls Project Manager.

This is a direct hire opportunity working 1st shift.

Responsibilities: Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of automation and control system projects from concept through commissioning.

Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful completion.

Coordinate with customers, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure technical and contractual requirements are met.

Oversee design and integration of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial networks.

Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.

Prepare and present progress reports and documentation for stakeholders.

Travel to customer sites for project kickoffs, reviews, and system commissioning as needed.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.

5+ years of experience in industrial automation, with at least 2 years in a project management role.

Strong technical knowledge of PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI/SCADA systems, motion control, and industrial communication protocols.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

PMP Certification or similar is a plus.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Willingness to travel locally (approximately 20–40%, depending on project requirements).
