Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities Designing, analyzing and testing new products and/or product enhancements assuring they are built to specification Analyzing and testing existing products to identify areas for improvement Collaborating with other Engineers, Designers, Project Managers, and Production Team Generating detailed design models and resulting machining drawings in SolidWorks Developing and building prototypes to test their function Conducting user research through field trials and other means to identify consumer needs Researching new materials and how they are best applied Ensuring assembly is completed to design specifications and industry standards Mechanical Design Engineer Skills and Qualifications Exceptional problem-solving and math skills Strong attention to detail Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling software Project management and leadership skills Product-focused creative thinking Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organization and effective time management In-depth knowledge of industry design principles Mechanical Design Engineer Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology Experience working with the machining of parts is preferred EIT or PE preferred Ref: #208-Eng Tulsa
