We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Project Manager to join our Liquid & Powder Technologies (LPT) division within the Food and Dairy unit. This pivotal role, located in Hudson, WI, will oversee project execution teams, manage scope, schedules, and risks, all while ensuring that our customers are exceptionally satisfied.
As a Project Manager for Engineering Innovation at GEA, you will play a crucial role in fostering innovative and sustainable food processing solutions, specifically focusing on liquid processing, evaporation, or spray drying technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary contact for customers and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication through meetings, submittals, and training.
Oversee project execution in accordance with GEA Project Management Guidelines.
Review contract documents and specifications to confirm alignment with stakeholder expectations, addressing any discrepancies.
Manage the approval and submission of technical documents such as P&IDs, drawings, and project documentation to customers.
Ensure project controlling aligns with GEA financial guidelines, including budget approvals, change order processing, and timely invoicing.
Conduct risk analyses, monitor risks and keep management informed of any significant changes.
Develop resource plans, request necessary resources, and coordinate project staff effectively.
Facilitate collaboration between internal departments and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Maintain comprehensive documentation, including project files, correspondence, and technical specifications.
Organize and lead Phase Gate Review, Steering Committee, and project review meetings.
Capture and disseminate lessons learned to enhance project management and sales support processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, food science, or a related field.
At least 4 years of experience in the food, dairy, brewing, or beverage industry.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in project engineering or project management.
Strong understanding of hygienic food processing technologies.
Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
Ability to work independently and drive projects to successful completion.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
