Job Description

The Electrical Project Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of projects. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, and effective communication to coordinate and oversee various aspects of electrical projects from conception to completion. This is an in-office position at our Manhattan office.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.

2. Review project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand project scope and requirements.

3. Review Electrical designs and drawings to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications.

4. Resolve technical issues and provide innovative solutions to challenges encountered during the project lifecycle.

5. Coordinate with project management teams to help procure electrical materials and equipment.

6. Review material submittals and ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications.

7. Coordinate with field personnel to resolve technical issues and ensure efficient project execution.

8. Maintain accurate project documentation, including shop drawings, RFIs, and other project-related documents.

9. Means of commuting 5 days a week to our office in Manhattan.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in Electrical project engineering or related roles.

2. Technical knowledge of Electrical systems, codes, and standards.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

6. Ability to model & coordinate projects in 3D using AutoCAD MEP, Revit & Navisworks.

7. Ability to create detailed shop drawings using AutoCAD MEP & Revit.

8. Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu for PDF markups, takeoffs etc.

9. Familiarity with MS Office programs including Outlook, Teams, Word & Excel.

10. OSHA 30 and SST certifications.

11. On field experience of working with project superintendent, foreman and other field personnel is preferrable.
