The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE

Performs functions associated with patient information processing for ambulatory care visits. Completes the tasks of reception, registration, charge reconciliation process, appointment scheduling, eRecord task management, In Basket management and Telephone encounter management using the electronic medical record and patient access and revenue cycle systems. Ensures patient satisfaction with information processing and reception service. Requires accuracy in order to generate a billable service for the provider. Responsible for functions being completed in an accurate, efficient, and customer friendly manner. May act as a resource to new staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide a Warm Welcome: Greet and assist patients, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.

Assist with Registration: Handle patient registration, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification.

Maintain Accuracy: Keep patient records up to date in our electronic medical system (EMR).

Manage Communication: Respond to calls, schedule follow-ups, and process referrals efficiently.

Ensure Confidentiality: Maintain patient privacy and adhere to HIPAA standards at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: 1+ year of clerical or customer service experience (a great starting point for a healthcare career!).

Skills: Strong attention to detail, organization, and data entry accuracy.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and a focus on providing outstanding customer service.

Team-Oriented: Ability to work independently while contributing to a fast-paced team environment.
