Description:

1. Performing financial and accounting due diligence procedures for buy-side or sell-side due diligence engagements.

2. Using technical skills and knowledge to review, research, analyze and evaluate client companies’ assets and financial transactions.

3. Identifying and communicating (i) critical deal issues; and (ii) the strength and weakness of the business against industry benchmarks to client management that could impact purchase price or the deal structure.

4. Performing research and industry analyses using Bloomberg Terminal and Refinitiv Eikon, analyzing companies’ strategic positions and corresponding forecasts, and challenging assumptions related to future financial projections.

5. Performing valuation using discounted cash flow, public company comparable, and transaction comparable methods.

6. Identifying critical post-closing matters to be addressed to ensure improvements in profitability and cash flows.

7. Reviewing purchase price allocations and assisting with the finalization of opening balance sheet of purchase price allocations and closing working capital calculations.

8. Building bespoke business financial models including 3-statement model, cash forecasting model, and revenue forecasting model, with high degree of automation and accuracy.

9. Perform data manipulation, analysis and visualization using advanced data applications, including SQL, Power BI, ACL, Power Query, Tableau, and Alteryx, and using advanced Excel functionalities and formulas to build flatfiles, pivot tables, and macros.

10. Working closely and communicating effectively with their team leaders and clients to gather information, communicate their evaluations, results and conclusions based on their skilled analyses of the data.

11. Assisting with preparation of the team’s project plans, agendas for crucial meetings, and presentations.

12. Interacting extensively with personnel of the target companies and the client, and presenting proposals, findings, analyses and so forth to clients timely and effectively.

13. Capturing and communicating project problems and providing recommendations for resolving noted items in a timely fashion internally with team leaders and externally with clients.

May telecommute.

Requires 25% travel nationally to meet with clients, target companies, and internal teams.

The position requires two (2) years’ experience in the job offered or related. Experience must include:

a. Perform valuation analyses to evaluate the company’s assets and financial positions.

b. Conduct financial and market research using Bloomberg Terminal and Refinitiv Eikon to gather key financial information to understand business operations and strategies, analyze industry benchmarks, and perform market trend analyses.

c. Perform data cleaning, data manipulation and analysis, and data visualization using advanced data applications, including SQL, Power BI, Access Control List (ACL), Tableau, and Excel.

d. Application of data analytics.

e. Perform assessments and testing using valuation models.

f. Perform research of market trends, current events, monetary/fiscal policies, and macroeconomic outlooks.

g. Perform data processing and analysis over millions of financial data records using advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, macros, power query, and formulas including SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, INDEX/MATCH, and IF combined with AND/OR.

Bachelor’s (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
