We’re currently looking for passionate individuals to fill Group Teacher positions for our Before and After School Program at Knowlton Elementary in Delaware, NJ. JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

PAY RATE: $15.49 – $17 per hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure Compliance: Maintain adherence to NJ guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and the regulations set by the host school.

Bring the Fun: Lead engaging hands-on activities, based on the Healthy Kids Way Curriculum, covering areas such as fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. And, of course, help with homework – you'll be their go-to homework hero!

Be a Role Model: Establish a safe, healthy, and fun environment where children can thrive. Be the kind of role model they look up to each day.

Manage and Lead: Support the Site Director with management duties, such as maintaining accurate attendance and registration records, ensuring adequate staffing, and keeping the program running smoothly. When the Site Director is absent, you’ll be the one in charge.

Communication: Stay connected with parents and family members via the Playground App to provide updates and foster communication.

Teamwork: Work closely with the Site Director to keep them informed on daily events, addressing issues as they arise. By collaborating effectively, we’ll maintain a positive and productive environment for both staff and kids.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Associate's degree in Child Development or a Child Development Certificate,

OR

Six college credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, plus Nine college credits in related fields, such as Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or any area related to child growth and development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Be prepared for a background check, including fingerprinting, references, and SEL & SCR.

Have medical clearance from your doctor to perform job duties and be free of communicable diseases, including TB.

Be warm, approachable, and upbeat. Strong people skills are essential, whether you’re interacting with children, parents, or colleagues. You’re also reliable, professional, and punctual.

Be physically prepared to bend, stretch, lift, and carry (up to 50 lbs.) and stay active with energetic kids.
