Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Manager/Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a dual role, focusing on driving the growth of the business while ensuring accurate financial management. This position is ideal for a dynamic individual with a blend of business development and accounting expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor analysis, and opportunities for growth.
• Create business proposals and presentations to pitch to potential clients.
• Develop strategies for brand promotion and market penetration.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of marketing and sales initiatives.
Accounting:
• Prepare, examine, and maintain financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage payroll and tax remittances in compliance with Nigerian tax laws.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support management in making informed financial decisions through analysis and reporting.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of proven experience in accounting and business development.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations, tax laws, and bookkeeping principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client engagement and team collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Goal-driven, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in the hospitality or tourism industry is a plus.
• Familiarity with marketing tools and CRM software.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
