Responsible for following procurement processes per the AA GPM (General Procedures Manual) guidelines; Work with the company’s suppliers for material and service needs; Negotiate and execute contracts with industry competitive terms and pricings structures, protecting the company’s interests in terms of quality, timelines, and overall costs; Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Production, QC, QA, and Legal and Inventory Management to support daily operations; Evaluate supplier prices/quotes and efficiently source parts using a number of different tools like past history, OEMs, ILS and Aeroxchange to determine most desirable suppliers; Support Purchase Order (PO) exceptions, cancellation and change requests received from various suppliers via SPEC2000 & EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) on AAPICS, DECS & SAP software; Develop presentations for business reviews with suppliers; Identify, negotiate, establish and manage both short and long term engine leases; Monitor financial forecasting, budgeting and month end close for engine leasing; Lead commercial negotiation with engine lessors; Work closely with internal American Airlines customers and stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives, product/service requirements and the broader operational processes; Develop sourcing strategies, negotiates contracts, and makes informed decisions to ensure cost-effective procurement and supply chain management; Utilize data analytics tools to analyze historical market data, pricing trends, and demand patterns for specific commodities.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F.

2 years of experience as an Analyst, Specialist, or any occupation in which the required experience was gained, and demonstrated experience in: Supply chain concepts; Project management, early supplier involvement, total cost management, and financial analysis; Technical tools for analysis, problem-solving, forecasting and quality improvement; Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Sourcing and procurement, negotiation, and vendor management; Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers; Working in cross-functional team environment; SharePoint, SAP, Cognos, Teradata, SQL, IBM Notes, AAPICS, DECS, Sceptre, AeroXchange, and ILS; Commodity pricing trends, supply chain risks, and regulatory requirements impacting commodity procurement; Strong analytical skills to assess market data, conduct cost analyses, and make data-driven decisions; Ability to identify and solve complex problems related to commodity procurement, supply chain optimization, and risk management.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
