Construction Manager-Portland, Oregon
We have partnered with a large construction company in the Portland, OR area to provide them with a Construction Manager - Mechanical.
Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Construction Manager - Mechanical:
#1. Must have at least 5 years Supervisor/Manager experience.
#2. Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents.
#3. Must have experience with civil/site work (concrete, steel, building envelope, MEP, etc.)
#4. No more than 3 jobs in the last 10 years.
Requirements of the Construction Manager - Mechanical:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial construction, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and keen attention to detail.
Background in collaborating with manufacturing clients across different environments.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or conflicts in documentation.
Experience in civil and site work, including concrete, steel structures, building envelope, MEP systems, and related areas.
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools for project management and communication.
A positive attitude and commitment to actively contributing to the collaborative culture of a small firm, with a willingness to navigate and adapt to varying levels of ambiguity.
Leadership Role for the Mechanical Construction Manager:
This role involves managing and coordinating the efforts of general contractors on the jobsite for assigned projects, with a focus on overseeing and improving jobsite performance.
Other Key Requirements:
100% In office
Primarily local travel during the business day, however out of state travel is likely for project coordination.
No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
