Peraton has an immediate need for a Cloud Capability Leader.
Preferred in Northern VA.
The Cloud Capability Leader/SME will support the Financial and Regulatory Business Unit cloud portfolio development and business growth around cloud solutions and architectures for customers and new opportunities.
The leader will join the Financial and Regulatory Business Unit to support the cloud portfolio capability with a focus on:
Leading and developing new enterprise cloud capabilities and service offerings for emerging technologies within Hybrid Multicloud environments including expertise in cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) services
Supporting customer opportunities and engagements including pre-sales pursuit/capture efforts through the development of cloud technical solutions, proposals and white papers - providing thought leadership in the development of new Peraton cloud capabilities or offerings.
Providing leadership in for customer engagements/growth and current opportunities for large enterprise Hybrid Multicloud deployments and ability to propose appropriate cloud architectures and solutions leveraging Peraton’s differentiating capabilities and services
Developing reusable technical frameworks to provide an integrated approach that uses industry leading cloud solutions and vendors across disciplines to support cloud transformations
Develop and manage relationships across the whole client base, discussing benefits and value
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree (Preferred in Computer Science or Systems Engineering) and 16+ years of industry experience in delivering Enterprise IT and Digital solutions
A proven track record in shaping and leading cloud strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
Experience as a senior cloud leader/practitioner with cloud solution architecture experience in hybrid, multicloud enterprise environments
Experience developing new capabilities, offering collateral and service offerings within AI-enabled Cloud Operations, Cloud FinOps, Containers/Kubernetes, and Cloud Automation (IaC, DevSecOps integration) with an Anything as a Services (XaaS) approach
Experience leading/supporting technical proposal development for pursuit/capture efforts through the development of cloud technical solutions, solution collateral, and white papers, along with thought leadership in the development of new Peraton cloud capabilities and offerings
Experience in cloud transformation capability (IAAS, PAAS, SAAS) and approaches of transforming applications/analytics to the cloud specifically to commercial cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc.)
Experience in Cloud Security Services, ATO, Zero Trust architectures and ability transform requirements/architecture to targeted Digital Transformations technologies and solutions – e.g., DevSecOps, Agile, Application Transformation to Cloud (Re-architecture, Re-factor, Rehost, Replace, etc.)
Experience providing technical leadership to engagements and develops detailed technical solution content and estimates
Strong communication skills and technical writing (ie. proposals, statements of work, etc.)
Professional Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solution Architect Professional, Microsoft Azure Certified Solutions Architect - Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect Professional, etc.)

Master’s OR PhD desired
Knowledge and experience of migrating workloads/applications to the cloud
Knowledge and experience with DevSecOps CI/CD architectures required for transformation to new cloud environments (IAC, etc.)
Experience with Agile methodology and experience specifically SAFe/Kanban with DevSecOps frameworks

Target Salary Range
$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
