Job Description/Responsibilities:
The Endpoint Support Engineer is responsible for support of endpoint devices within their facility. A thorough understanding of user and business needs are essential. In this role, an Endpoint Support Engineer has a good understanding of user and business needs. Design, implement and support approved technical solutions as well as resolve endpoint issues. Additional responsibilities include:
Designs, implements, and deploys platforms to support and meet business needs. Identifies and recommends opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions.
Provides intermediate level technical support and monitors multiple technology domains/platforms through the use of monitoring tools and applications.
Maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of software and infrastructure platforms.
Tests and evaluates IT vendor products.
Updates, writes, and maintains documentation for the department.
Provides Production support for assigned systems including on call rotation support.
Participates in diagnosing and resolving technical issues with assigned systems.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
Proficiency in managing and supporting security tools, including product installations, upgrades, and technical support across multiple platforms including one or more of the following:
OS Proficiency with Windows, macOS, Linux,
Skills with AWS are a plus
Proficient experience packaging, installing, and maintaining 3rd party vendor products in a large enterprise.
Understanding of VM and VDI provisioning processes
Ability to learn and adapt to changing Cybersecurity technologies, tools, techniques, and concepts
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Ability to work well within a team environment
Ability to complete assigned tasks within agreed upon timeframes and with minimum coaching
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics, or engineering is required, masters degree is a plus. 3/5 years of experience in managing and supporting security tools, including product installations, upgrades, and technical support across multiple platforms.
Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager CM preferred
