What to expect in this position:
Inpatient/PHP and Residential. Some High-Acuity patients at times.
20 patients per day, typically 3-5 patients IP, then remainder of in PHP/PHP - psychiatrist to see patients x2 per week, 2 notes per patient per week required by MD/DO.
Treating ages: Child to Adult ages 8+
Full-support staff; Dieticians, ProT, PriT, Clinical Manager, Admin, Case Manager, Therapist, NP/PA.
Obtain medical histories, and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
Achieve quality metrics by focusing on clinically relevant outcome measures
Advocate for patients by providing consistent and timely documentation regarding the patients need for level of care
Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Completion of a psychiatric residency program from an accredited residency program
Board eligible in appropriate specialty (board certified preferred)
