Temporary/Short-Term Contract

Rainier FoodWorks crafts products for Seattle’s top independent food brands. As a production worker at our South Seattle food facility you’ll create many products you see on your local grocery store shelves including Seattle Pickle Company’s dill pickles and bloody mary mix as well as products, like hot cocoa, hot sauce, and cocktail cherries that we produce for many independent food brands.

Our food hub operates on a Monday through Friday 9am-3:30pm schedule. Rainier FoodWorks offers flexible work days and we are looking for people who can fill our temporary/short-term contract positions who are available anywhere from two weeks to two months. We’re also looking to hire people who have the ability to be on call and/or those who are able to be placed on an as needed basis.

The ideal candidate for this role excels in fast-paced environments and can handle multiple repetitive tasks with a focus on safety. You’ll have a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high quality food products. You also enjoy working with others to achieve team goals but can work independently without direct supervision. This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a food manufacturing business with the opportunity to level up within the organization.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Producing food according to manufacturer’s specification

Safe and efficient operation of industrial kitchen machinery and utensils

Maintaining an organized work area and perform ongoing cleaning tasks in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices

Maintain efficiency standards with multiple production tasks

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong attention to safety in a fast-paced environment

Ability to complete multiple repetitive tasks

Team player with the ability to work in independently when required

Ability to stand for extended periods of time and capable of heavy lifting (up to 45 pounds)

Excellent work ethic
