Job Title: Hospital Controller

Controller - Designated Critical Access Hospital - Central Coast

You’ll need:

Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting is required

Must have 2+ years as an Assistant Controller or Controller in a Hospital setting

Kronos and Meditech experience is preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Fluency in Spanish is a plus

CAH experience would be great

Job Summary:

Manages the daily functions of the Accounting Department and its primary functions of accounting, accounts payable, and payroll.

Reports concerns and offers recommendations to resolve with the CFO.

Under the direction of the CFO, prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations.

Responsible for the preliminary preparation of the annual budget.

Facilitates reporting services for third party reimbursement and OSHPD, assists with monthly financial close, financial reporting processes including account analysis for all revenues, expenses, and balance sheet accounts.

Assists with preparation for and management of processes for the annual budget and all audits.

Develops and enforces internal controls.

Maintains accurate and organized files in Accounting, AP, and Payroll.

Provides excellent customer service to all employees, vendors, associates, and affiliates at all times.

Reports to the CFO
