Our client company is seeking an experienced Master Compounder who is a self-starter and a creative problem solver, with the ability to work closely with product development, business teams and customers and help bring new products to the market.

You must be willing to:

• Develop our trademark materials/lead the efforts of the material development team

• Work with the business unit to align research/development priorities with customer requests/technical difficulty

• Coordinate the development efforts of the research team

• Develop compounds/manufacturing methods to achieve novel material morphologies

Requirements (IF YOU DON’T HAVE THESE, DON’T APPLY)

• BS/MS degree Materials Science, Polymer Science or related

• 10+ years previous industry experience in rubber compounding

• Hands-on experience in rubber mixing on a two-roll mill, rubber testing (tensile/abrasion/fatigue)

• Hands-on laboratory chemistry experience (titrations/solution preparation)

• Experience in experimental design/results analysis

• Demonstrated ability to generate compounding alternatives to fix product challenges
