2. Minimum of four years of continuous improvement experience in chemical production environment.

Client Overview:

The Client is one of the largest and most respected providers of chemicals and related services in the United States that offers expertise in chemical distribution, food and dairy sanitation, food ingredients, organic processing, liquid sulfur salts, water treatment, foam control, and compliance management. In addition to industrial chemical distribution, their specialty products are used in many of the products used and consumed daily.

Role Responsibilities:

To safely supervise all production activities and manage inventory appropriately to meet production and shipping requirements associated with Continuous Production Operations. This position will uphold the company’s “Standards of Excellence” through continuous commitment to customer satisfaction, both internal and external.

• Plans and directs daily activities in the continuous production areas (Bisulfites, Aqua Ammonia, Water, ENU, Soda Ash, ATS production).

• Recommends required labor resources for efficient operation to meet the business objective.

• Continuously evaluates, recommends, and implements improvements to the plant processes and operating procedures to improve the safety and efficiency in the plant.

• Works closely with engineering and the plant management staff to identify and implement process improvements for all continuous operations to improve the efficiency and reduce cost. Develop and propose Capital improvements as necessary.

• Monitors plant equipment to ensure it is maintained to operate safely and efficiently. Coordinates with the maintenance department so that all repairs are made on a timely basis.

• Work with Customer Service and Branch Buyer to ensure timely and efficient delivery of all continuous production and to minimize back orders or short shipments. Review safety stock, production demand, inventory discrepancies with the branch buyer.

• Responsible for the execution of bulk cycle counts as required or directed by Plant Manager to maintain accurate inventory levels.

• Reviews expenses with the Plant Manager and Shift Supervisors to identify and implement cost reduction activities and ensure expenses are controlled at or below budgeted levels.

• Defines and enforces with the shift supervisors the plant housekeeping standards.


A significant compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that includes a base salary, performance-based bonus and a healthcare plan. Relocation assistance will be assessed on an individual basis as appropriate.
