Our client company is seeking an experienced engineer to support the automated and manual assembly equipment in the production of high quality automotive components

You must be willing to:

• Create specifications/recommendations/designs for tools/fixtures/gages/equipment/processes

• Help troubleshoot/improve equipment issues

• Specify gaging techniques

• Coordinate quality improvements within assembly

• Provide technical guidance/training to the assembly team

• Control budget/costs of assembly methods

• Develop layout/material flow plans

• Evaluate/update documents according to Process Change Requests

• Assist with APQP documentation (PFMEA, Control Plans)

Requirements (IF YOU DON’T HAVE THESE, DON’T APPLY)

• BS in Mechanical Engineering

• 3+ years’ experience in assembly/manufacturing environment (automotive/metalworking/related)

• Experience with Torque/Press/Gaging equipment

• Experience with Error Proofing/Poka Yoke methods

• Understanding of programming automated systems

• Skilled in CAD with AutoCad/Pro-Engineer experience
