The Senior Costpoint Project Accountant is responsible for overseeing the process of setting-up and maintaining projects in Deltek Costpoint in a way that ensures that project design meets internal and external requirements in an efficient and consistent manner, utilizing the functionally and flexibility of the module. The Senior Costpoint Project Accountant must be an advocate of adopting best practices to support continued contract growth in terms of number of contracts and complexity. The Senior Costpoint Project Accountant must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills in ensuring that project set-up will meet complex funding, reporting, and tracking requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to
Provide structure to the project set-up and maintenance process by establishing business relationships with internal and external customers.
Understand new contract requirements as they relate to internal and external reporting, billing, and revenue recognition, ensuring that the project structure supports these requirements in an efficient and compliant manner.
Train and mentor staff in the utilization of the project module.
Five or more years of experience with the Deltek Costpoint project module, including:
Funding and billing.
Must have experience in the government contracting industry.
BS or BA degree in a related discipline is highly desirable (business, finance or accounting).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer service and collaborative team environment.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with others and work independently.
Knowledge of other Costpoint functions, such as IWO set-up and maintenance, rate pool maintenance and allocations.
